Top Hat Vertical Antenna

Currently we are looking at the above antenna design via software. It appears to be promising now that the proper sized components are found. It would be easier to construct than a loaded vertical that requires allot of 8 mm diameter wire for a loading coil on medium wave. This antenna uses # 12 wire for the capacitance hat radials.

The anchor pillars are made by using three coffee cans stacked to make a form. The bottoms are cut out of the two upper cans to made a tubular form when stacked. A pipe for the guy wire anchor is installed in each form and concrete is poured in each to set up and make 6 pillars.

The software design data will be complied here later on.

The mast height is 50 foot.
